DuraShield® Certified to be PFOA Free
DuraShield® non-stick coating, offered exclusively on American Pan® industrial baking pans and Chicago Metallic foodservice baking pans, has been certified to be PFOA free.
Tests conducted by MPI Laboratories found the coating to free of Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) to the lowest detectable level. PFOA is a known toxicant and carcinogen in animals and is found in other dark non-stick coatings.
DuraShield® also conforms with FDA regulations and is permitted for use in contact with food as detailed in the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and all applicable regulations including 21CFR 175.300.
